Gamezenter, Inc. Acquires the Fantasy Flight Games Center Retail Business From Asmodee North America, Inc.
ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA – April 22nd, 2021 Gamezenter, Inc. today announced that it has acquired the retail operations of the Fantasy Flight Games Center from Asmodee North America, Inc.
The Fantasy Flight Games Center constitutes the 17,000 sqf tabletop retail, food, and event destination located in Roseville, Minnesota; a staple of the Twin Cities gaming scene since 2009.
Gamezenter is a new company owned by investment and holding company Strange Stars, LLC. Christian T. Petersen, principal investor and managing partner of Strange Stars, founded the game-publisher Fantasy Flight Games in 1995 and launched the Fantasy Flight Games Center in 2009. Both the publishing and retail entities were sold to the Paris-based Asmodee Group in 2014.
