Life is a journey to be enjoyed, not a destination to be reached, and that’s something you’ll come to understand as you make your way through a beautiful Japanese garden. The flowers, waterfalls, shrines, poets, and torii gates bring a sense of tranquility difficult to find elsewhere.
In The One Hundred Torii (published by Pencil First Games), players gain travel points by expanding the garden (through tile laying) and passing through torii gates to visit landmarks. Along the way, you will interact with people who will help grant you additional advantages. And, whether you play with others or as a solo experience, you’re never truly alone. In the solo variant, you meet a friendly pilgrim named Onatsu, and engage in a bit of friendly competition with her.
With a beautiful blend of tile laying, set collection, and unique player abilities, The One Hundred Torii is easy to learn, easy to teach, and a joy to play. And, if you make a pledge for The One Hundred Torii, you will also receive the Toku mini-expansion. This mini-expansion will be sold elsewhere, but will not be included with the base game following the Kickstarter.
Let your soul relax, cast off your cares like a leaf falling in water, and take a stroll through the tranquil Japanese garden in The One Hundred Torii.
The One Hundred Torii is live on KICKSTARTER from now until June 11, 2019 and has surpassed its funding goal of $20,000.
