You’re hungry. Your options are laid before you, but before you indulge in that salad, think: Will this be enough to see me through today’s activities? Perhaps it will, but perhaps not.

Consumption: Food and Choices is a worker placement game that has players living the best life they can through eating and daily activities. Managing dietary preferences—from vegetarian to junk food and everything in between—is essential in order to have sufficient energy to take on the day’s activities (from sports to snowball fights). Part of living your best life includes collecting and completing recipes for special bonuses and victory points.

Consumption is played over six rounds. During each round, players shop for ingredients, eat out, complete recipes, and find time to be active. As managing a diet and daily activities can be difficult, players are able to enlist the help of special assistants to make things easier. At the end of the game, points are awarded for successfully following your diet’s preferences. Of course, if you indulged too many times, points will be deducted from your final score. Following a diet in your demanding life can be difficult, but with the right motivation and assistance, there’s nothing you can’t do!

Consumption: Food and Choices is designed by a dietitian and presents the food we eat as a balance of health and happiness in a non-non-judgmental way.

Consumption: Food and Choices is live on KICKSTARTER between now and March 6, 2019 and has a funding goal of $13,000.
