Did everyone catch the exciting news this morning? The long-awaited trailer (and title) for Avengers 4 is released and now I have a strong desire to play Thanos Rising: Avengers Infinity War, or 5-minute Marvel, or Codenames: Marvel, or Legendary: Marvel, or Munchkin Marvel, or… you get the idea. The highest vote getter this week is The Final Flicktier, a 4X style space game where players flick their dice around the board to explore, attack, and build. Designed to meet the desire of playing a 4X game without the standard long gameplay, The Final Flicktier is easy to learn (no 20 page rule book) and also includes a solo mode. The Final Flicktier is currently 102% funded with 28 days to go.
The second place choice this week is Chai. Funded day 1, Chai has players acting as tea merchants combining tea flavors to make a perfect blend and fulfill customer orders. A card drafting and set collection game for up to 5 players, Chai also has a solo mode. Chai is currently 147% funded with 31 days to go.
My (Nick S) pick this week is Forage, The Bee Game. In Forage players act as a bee colony and mimic the actions of real bees, collecting nectar and pollen throughout the different seasons. One thing that really stood out to me was the different game modes that Forage provides. There are three ways to play — kid-friendly, standard, and extended. It can also be played either competitively or cooperatively. Forage is currently 22% funded with 29 days to go.
Other games receiving votes this week were Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon (4,385% funded with 21 days to go) and Treedles on the Tree (10% funded with 26 days to go).
