Lake Leafty - Owner

Lake was a pharmacy tech in just about every facet you can think of including as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He’s also a husband to his wonderful wife with whom he has been blessed to be the father of 5 great children. Due to circumstances beyond his control he got thrown into the world of Tabletop gaming. As an overachiever he couldn’t just sit there quietly playing games. So he started podcasting about games in May of 2017. Ever since then has been slowly trying to grow his evil regime starting with The Giveaway Geek and now EBG.

Rodger Moore - Kickstarter Content Manager

I am in the education profession as a part time teacher (spent 19 years previously in the classroom) and majority of the time I am the IT/Tech coordinator at my school. I am currently working behind the scenes to develop lessons and techniques for teachers to use board gaming in their classrooms (I will release more information in the future.). I have been an avid gamer all my life. I got into board gaming in the late seventies starting with many fantasy and wargames (I still own many of the ones I started with and seem so much more involved than the iterations today.) I got back into board gaming in 2012 by joining a local meetup group with which I am very involved with to this day. I help with a local convention called RAGECON which we put on every June. I love the interactions and escape that board gaming provides. Most people I have encountered like games and find it is a great way to meet new people and get to know them. My wife (Just got married last April) shares the passion for gaming as I do. She will play anything! I hail from Northern Nevada and am a native.

James Reid - Giveaway Database Manager

James Reid is a husband, father of two, Real Estate Agent and gamer from Millersville, Maryland. Being relatively new to the gaming world, Catan, Pandemic and 7 Wonders were the first of his gateway games and it grew from there! James has really appreciated giveaways and how they played a part in exposing him to new games and mechanics. The gaming community is a generous one! When not working, James can usually be found trying to convince his wife and extended family to learn another new game!

George Jaros - Reviewer

George is a board game player and designer from DeKalb, Illinois. He has loved board games for years and played all the classics when he was younger. He loved Civilization (the Avalon Hill version) back in highschool and college, and played tons of card games, board games, and more for most of his formative years. He didn't play games much after he got married and had kids, until 2014. Now his boys are old enough to play most games and he has found that tabletop games are a huge hit in his household. Their collection keeps growing and they keep playing. Over the last few years, he has been getting more and more engrossed in the gaming community and started GJJ Games to both showcase his own game designs and review others' games. He does a lot of Kickstarter previews, occasionally review published games, and has been adding more content to GJJ Games, like the People Behind the Meeples series of indie designer interviews, Eye on Kickstarter, and more. Jeremy from gamegeek.ninja is a game fanatic. More than happy to play games for more than 12 hours at a time, he loves new games and is always on the lookout for his next favorite. He's a bit crazy, but that adds to the fun of his opinions. Also, Ninjas sometimes help with the reviews, so there's that.

Alexa Chaplin- Reviewer

My name is Alexa: I'm a life-long game player and homeschooling mom to two awesome kids. I've loved board games since my early days playing Scrabble and Gin Rummy with my grandmother, and life only got more interesting when I married a Battletech enthusiast and fellow game lover. We've played games with our kids since they were small, and I helped start a thriving homeschool co-op where we have weekly sessions of board games with kids.  In a family with kids raised on Catan and Pandemic, life is sure to be fun! You may run into me on Twitter, BoardGameGeek, and other social media as MamaGames. Be sure to say hi!

Eric Schevenius - Reviewer

Full-time father, part-time nerd. When not spending time with my family, I try to fill the rest of my time playing tabletop games. Some call it an obsession, I prefer the term passion. Either way, I will play any game, with anybody, at any time.
