Lake Leafty - Owner

Lake was a pharmacy tech in just about every facet you can think of including as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He’s also a husband to his wonderful wife with whom he has been blessed to be the father of 5 great children. Due to circumstances beyond his control he got thrown into the world of Tabletop gaming. As an overachiever he couldn’t just sit there quietly playing games. So he started podcasting about games in May of 2017. Ever since then has been slowly trying to grow his evil regime starting with The Giveaway Geek and now EBG.

Jazz Paladin- Reviewer

Jazz Paladin is an eccentric at heart — When he is not learning to make exotic new foods at home, such as Queso Fresco cheese and Oaxacan molé, he is busy collecting vintage saxophones, harps, and other music-related paraphernalia. An avid music enthusiast, when he is not pining over the latest board games that are yet-to-be-released, his is probably hard at work making jazzy renditions of classic/retro video game music tunes as Jazz Paladin on Spotify and other digital music services

Mike PrattReviewer

Mike hails from the Pacific Northwest. When not playing tabletop games, he can be found spending time with his beautiful wife, two kids and three dogs. He started out playing Masterpiece, Scotland Yard, and Risk as a kid, but that all changed nearly 20 years ago when a friend returned from Germany with a copy of Settlers of Catan. Now, with a much larger and more diverse game collection, he's excited to introduce a new generation (including his kids) to tabletop gaming.

Being taught backgammon at a young age her love of games grew, some of her favorites include: Thanos Rising, Battle of Hogwarts, Red Dragon Inn, and Mysterium. Kurtis ClarkReviewer

I'm from a quite little town in Missouri.  Just south of St. Louis. I’m a lover of the outdoors. When I’m not playing board games I can be found next to a lake fishing or floating  down a river, and of course camping.  I can’t forget drag racing I go to the local tracks as much as possible.  About 2 years ago though when I lived in Huntsville Alabama, before this nasty Covid thing popped up on anyone’s radar, I started playing boardgames. From the first meetup I went to I was hooked! My first game I played was diamond’s I really enjoyed it. Later that week I went to another meetup and found worker placement games and fell in love.  Since then I have expanded my horizons and have been to local game festivals and played as many different games as I can. I am as completely competitive while playing but never get upset when I lose, and that happens a lot! I just enjoy being able to spend time playing games with friends family and anyone else I can get to play!!

Nick Brouillette- Reviewer

Nick grew up playing board games like Chess, Stratego, and Monopoly. His first glimpse into the wide expanse gaming has to offer came from a miniatures game called HeroScape he played as a teen (Hasbro, if you're reading this I'll help fund a Kickstarter revival) , but he didn't get fully immersed until 2019 when he and his wife decided to get Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle for their wedding anniversary. Now a few years (and many games) later, they spend most of their free time together playing board games and cannot wait until their kids are old enough to join in! He loves sharing the joy of board gaming with others, and is excited to do that as a part of EBG.
