“Board gaming as a hobby has grown tremendously in the Oklahoma City area over the last few years,” said TokenCon director Mike Dattolo. “We’re launching TokenCon to help take the hobby to the next level, by bringing a high quality convention experience to the board gamers of Oklahoma.”
Activities throughout will appeal to board game enthusiasts of all experience levels. Teachers will be on hand to help recommend and teach games, and a special “Hot Games” section will have the latest, most popular board game releases.
For more competitive players, TokenCon is hosting the state championships for a number of games, with trophies, prizes, and entry to the 2019 regional championships.
TokenCon is limited to 400-500 total attendees. Standard tickets are $50 for a weekend pass, which includes admission to both days, a cloth swag bag, and full access to all areas of the convention. VIP tickets are $75, and in addition to standard ticket features, also include a special, limited edition t-shirt and other extras.
